Warning – the definition of CTAF is a bit different between Australia and Jeppesen.

Common Traffic Advisory Frequency (CTAF) – in Australia

CTAF is a designated frequency on which pilots make positional broadcasts when operating in the vicinity of a non-controlled aerodrome OR within a Broadcast Area.

IMPORTANT – MULTICOM (126.7 MHz) is NOT the CTAF, in Australia!

Note:

According to Jeppesen, CTAF in USA, is a frequency designed for the purpose of carrying out airport advisory practices while operating to or from an uncontrolled airport. The CTAF may be a UNICOM, MULTICOM, FSS, or tower frequency.
