(Piston) Engine Sub-System

Continuous operation of the engine depends on the simultaneous function of various sub-system:

  1. fuel system (part of the airframe system)
  2. induction system
  3. ignition system
  4. oil system
  5. cooling system
  6. exhaust system

Note:

Engine’s primary function is to power the aircraft (either by providing thrust or power), there are various engine offtakes from accessory gearbox
