What contribution did Cathay Pacific make during the outbreak of COVID-19?


After the starting of the Wuhan coronavirus outbreak in Jan 2020, Cathay Pacific was among the first carriers to allow passengers to change their travel plans – passengers with any type of ticket booked to China can rebook, re-route or take a refund.

Later in Feb 2020, two Cathay Pacific flights flew 350 Hongkongers stranded aboard the Diamond Princess cruise liner back to the Hong Kong.

In Mar 2020, Cathay Pacific operated few more charter flights from epicenter Wuhan to Hong Kong. These repatriation flights helped hundreds of stranded Hong Kong citizens coming back to home city.
