V1, also known as “decision speed”

V1 is the maximum speed at which an abort can be initiated with adequate runway remaining for stopping the aircraft.

In event of engine failure after V1 speed, there is sufficient speed  to get the aircraft to the screen height. And so takeoff should be continued. Any problems encountered after V1 are resolved in the air or upon landing
