Wind conditions are reported by an arrow attached to the station location circle.
“Barb” represents a speed of 10 KT;
“half a barb” represents a speed of 5 KT;
“pennant” represents a speed of 50KT
Notes:
Wind is described by the direction where it is blowing from – for example, “North-West wind” means the wind is blowing from the north-west
